November 3-4, 2018: ABR Fall Festival Alpaca Show. Located at The Ranch in Loveland, CO. Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies welcomes you once again to a fantastic Full Fleece and Halter Show. Fall colors and spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains are just a start to the makings of a fabulous weekend. Fall Festival sold out all of their stalls last year, so if you want to ensure a spot at our show please register as early as possible. Registration Opens August 15, 2018. This venue is centrally located which makes for ease of locating, works out well for our program, and was well received last year. November 9-10, 2018: Empire Alpaca Association and NEAOBA Show. Located at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY. Back by popular demand, you liked it last year and the year before, this year will be even better! The Empire Alpaca Association and The New England Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association have joined together once again to present a new and exciting SHOWTACULAR. The two shows will run concurrently, in the same venue, same weekend to continue making alpaca show history. February 15-17, 2019: TXOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular. Located in Fort Worth, TX. It will be slightly later in 2019 as the Fort Worth Stock Show won't be over until Feb 9. September 1-2, 2018: Fall Classic Llama Show & ALSA Rocky Mountain Regional. Located at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, CO. The halter and performance classes will be held in the climate controlled 120’ x 300’ indoor arena. Saturday during lunch a “not ready for prime time” loan a llama performance competion that is an open class. If you can loan a performance trained llama for this class please let me know. This class is open to youth 18 years and younger. Stacy Cantu is handling this. Due to ever increasing cost of putting on a show and decreasing show numbers LOCC will be having a silent auction to help offset show cost without having to raise entry fees. We will once again present the Bob Welsh Memorial Best of Show to the top halter llama and the Stephen Quackenbush Memorial “Quack” Versatility Award to the llama with the highest points from both halter and performance.
